Dear George,
Many thanks for your e-mail. We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful skiing holiday in Borovets. There was plenty of snow, and the scenery was beautiful. The facilities for our 4 year old grandson Joseph were perfect, that was the reason we booked. He swam every day, (there was a lovley big new indoor swimming pool) as he was too young to book into ski kindergarten, although we had him on skis for 3 short lessons. He did alot of bum boarding, sledging, and many other snow activities.
We also managed a tour guide of Sophia. We went into the cathedral, and other buildings of historical interest. We understand that there has been many changes in recent years, and furthermore, with regards to credit cards, there has to be change, and the travel reps reckon that in the next 2 years you will be able to use Credit Cards. That was the most infuriating thing about Bulgaria - not being able to purchase with a Credit Card. The food was better than expected, although it would have been much more palitable had it been HOT!!
Everything will improve once Bulgaria joins the E.E.C. I am sure. The people in service industries will benefit, as they are very poorly paid.
Tourism is becoming very popular to Bulgaria, as it is quite cheap, and facilities are improving. We will definitely consider going again.
Hope that you and your family are well. I hear that you went to Cuba, did you enjoy it? Please send Aldona our very best wishes, and who knows one day we hope to see you all again - soon.
With love and best wishes:- From: Rita:)
Dear Friends and LORDS when you get to Bulgaria get the best of Skeeing.
WE hope to see you some day in Canada. Mladenoff
